Hey folks, thanks so much for supporting the BagPack for Hands Free Groceries. It’s something we still use every time we go shopping, and there’s a growing number of BagPack users out there who do the same. 2014 was a pretty good year and we hope 2015 will be even better.
When we started, our mission was to help folks be green in a way that was naturally easier and cheaper than driving. The BagPack is just that product. It really works.
You might have noticed we’re kinda quiet on Facebook and this blog. Well, it’s true. Maybe we haven’t done everything we could have to promote our product. In retrospect maybe we should have kickstartered it. But we did what we knew to do at the time, and set up this site, and folks are still hearing about the BagPack and supporting it with their purchases. That word of mouth is everything we could want.
So if you don’t see any activity here, know that we’re still here, and we’re ready to send you your easy green BagPack (typically we ship the same day we get an order).
Global Warming Update
For those of you that follow this kind of thing, Wikipedia has a great article recapping the scientific discoveries of 2014. Here are the highlights as they pertain to climate:
- Globally, 2013 was tied with 2003 as the fourth warmest year on record, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
- All studies point to people as the cause of global warming, in particular our carbon emissions.
- Globally, June 2014 was the hottest June since records began in 1880, according to latest data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). So was August, September, and October.
As with everything, though, household economics matter a great deal in decision making. You can’t buy a Prius if you can only afford a Corolla. You won’t walk to do your shopping if your hands will fall off carrying those sharp plastic bag handles.
Anyway, this is why we’re proud to keep selling the BagPack, and happy that you take the time to support us.
Happy New Year.
